Have you seen movies like Avengers, Avatar, Hobbit, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc? If yes then you might wondered how do they make such type of imaginary movies? The answer is VFX and CGI!

What is VFX?

VFX stands for Visual Effects. Special visualizations (curtailed VFX) is the procedure by which symbolism is made or controlled outside the setting of a no frills shot in filmmaking. The mix of real life film and CG components to make reasonable symbolism is called VFX. 

VFX includes the combination of real to life film (enhancements) and produced symbolism (advanced or optical impacts) to make conditions, lifeless things, creatures or animals which look sensible, yet would be perilous, costly, unreasonable, tedious or difficult to catch on film. Enhanced visualizations utilizing PC produced symbolism (CGI) have as of late become available to the free producer with the presentation of moderate and generally simple to-utilize movement and compositing programming.

What is CGI?

Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) is the application of computer graphics to create or contribute to images in art, printed media, video games, films, television programs, shorts, commercials, videos, and simulators.

So, you have known what they means but the question is still in your mind that how do they make such movies!

Well, the real answer is they have a huge budget and they spend alot in appointing quality editors, VFX Artists, Lighting and much more!

But in this article you'll find how to make such type of VFX videos on your phone at cheap cost.

Method #1

The method 1 will take some amount of money from your pocket but still affordable.

What you need to do is to buy a good quality green screen from Amazon or any other shopping website, or you can try to make it at your home.

1.1 The Setup:

Firstly, choose a room where you want to shoot your videos. It should be clean and nice and with no noise.

You can use sound absorbers to decrease the echo of your voice.

Select a wall from the room.

Now, put the green screen on the wall using some nails or clips or any other things.

Now select a good distance from your green screen where you can place your camera and shoot.

Put the camera or your mobile phone on the tripod and use some lighting for best results.

You can use softboxes, studio lights or any other but keep in mind that lighting is very important for VFX.

Now your setup is ready.

1.2 Shooting:

This is very important step and takes some time but for better results you have to do some hardwork.

First, choose a topic which you want to make video of, like some fighting scene, floating in air, running ahead of a train, walking in a mysterious world, etc.

Search some green screen videos related to your topic.

Now according to your video shoot your video. For example, if you have a green screen video of fighting with a bull like in Bahubali, then shoot a video like you are holding the twings of the bull and pushing it. Again as I said, it will take some time but you have to keep patient and shoot with your full concentration.

1.3 The Editing

Now if you have shooted your video, then this is the time for editing. You'll need only you phone.

Open the app and tap on "Create".

Select a video or image background [ Download it from google: Here Download something like War Ground].

Now a new window will open, but don't fear just read and do what I'll be explaining you.

Just tap on OVERLAY and choose the video you have shooted. And again keep in mind that the lighting and quality of the video should be good.

Adjust the video according to the background and tape on "Chroma Key" Button.

Now move the '+' Cursor on the green screen and Booyah! The green screen is removed. 

Adjust the quality and tap on Export, it will be saved in three resolutions.

Choose the way you want to export.

Again Open the app and select the video you have exported and tap on Overlay Option.

Now select the green screen video you have downloaded from Google [ Here; Of the Bull Fighting ].

Again tap on chroma key and remove the green screen and adjust the video according to your video.

Add some music for movie like effect and then export it.

Now you have made a video with VFX on your Phone.

Method #2

This method requires no money but the video might be not so impressive. But still if you want to make it without a single cost then this method will help you.

Shoot a simple video at your home or outside according to your topic.

Download a green screen video you want to be on your project.

Open the above mentioned app and tap on Create.

Choose the video you have shooted and tap on Overlay and select the green screen video you have downloaded.

BONUS TIP: You can also use green screen videos from the app just tap on Overlay and tap on Online and you'll find many green screen effects.

Tap on Chroma Key and remove the green screen and adjust the video.

Now add some music, text or anything else that will enhance your video.

And now, export it.
